Candidate plans are billed per cycle and scale by the size of your race (voter universe), so a school-board race never pays a congressional price. Cities bill annually.

How it scales

How race-size pricing works.

Your price tracks the size of the universe you have to reach. A school-board race and a statewide run aren't the same job — so they aren't the same number.

We sort candidate plans into four bands by your voter universe. Pick the tier with the modules you need; the band sets the price within it. Candidate plans bill per cycle; cities bill annually as a Civic contract. No band math at checkout — we confirm yours on the demo.

A

Band A

School board · small council · civic

Under 25,000 voters

B

Band B

Mayor · large council · county

25,000 – 150,000 voters

C

Band C

State legislature · large metro

150,000 – 500,000 voters

D

Band D

Congressional · statewide

500,000+ voters

Bands describe the size of your race, not your party — every band is open to every candidate. Voter-universe ranges are guideposts; your exact band is confirmed on the demo.

For cities & government

Mandate Civic — bought the way cities buy.

Cities buying a nonpartisan instance for resident engagement & election outreach. It's a separate, nonpartisan instance — procured on an annual contract, not a per-cycle candidate plan — so your city runs resident engagement and election outreach year-round, on neutral ground.

Civic

Annual contract

City-wide, governmental-grade

  • Nonpartisan resident engagement
  • Election & turnout outreach
  • Areawide communication
  • Dedicated onboarding & support
The real comparison

One platform replaces the whole stack.

The honest way to read a Mandate price isn't against a single tool — it's against the five you'd otherwise buy, log into, and reconcile yourself.

The five-tool stack

  • A raw voter listStatic the day you buy it
  • A separate canvassing appIts own login, its own bill
  • A texting / dialer toolNever talks to your data
  • A mail houseExports, hand-offs, lag
  • A compliance spreadsheetOne typo from a TEC headache

Five logins. Five invoices. Five things to break two weeks out.

vs

One Mandate plan

  • Live voter data, analytics & maps
  • Field & volunteer app — built in
  • Texting, dialer & GOTV in one place
  • Direct mail, no export hand-off
  • Finance & TEC compliance, on rails

One login. One invoice. One system that holds on Election Day.

How much does Mandate cost?

Candidate plans are billed per cycle and scale by the size of your race — your voter universe — so a school-board campaign never pays a congressional price. The three candidate tiers (Grassroots, Campaign, Command) cover everything from a small volunteer-driven race to a fully managed citywide war room. Cities buy the Civic instance on an annual contract. Because the right number depends on your office, district, and which modules you need, we quote it on a short demo rather than forcing you into a one-size box.

Is there a free option or a trial?

Yes — you can start a candidate workspace for free to size your race, see your votes-needed math, and explore the Learn center before you commit to a paid cycle. There's no card required to look around. When you're ready to run live field, outreach, and compliance, you move onto the tier that fits your race. Book a demo and we'll set you up.

Why is candidate pricing per cycle instead of a monthly subscription?

Because campaigns aren't forever — they're a sprint to one Election Day. A per-cycle price means you pay for the months you're actually running, from filing through GOTV and any runoff, not an open-ended monthly bill that keeps charging after the votes are counted. Cities are the exception: a Civic instance runs year-round for resident engagement, so it's billed as an annual contract.

Do consultants and agencies get a multi-client rate?

Yes. Consultants and campaign managers get a multi-client dashboard that runs several races side by side from one login — shared voter data, cleanly separated compliance per candidate, and one view of every client's field, fundraising, and GOTV. Pricing is structured for a book of races rather than charging full freight on each one. Tell us how many seats you're managing and we'll build the agency tier around it.

What does pricing look like for a city?

Cities buy Mandate Civic — a nonpartisan, governmental-grade instance for resident engagement and election outreach — on an annual contract, not a per-cycle candidate plan. It's scoped to your population and the modules you need (areawide communication, turnout outreach, dedicated onboarding and support), and procured the way municipal software usually is. Talk to our team and we'll put together a proposal your city can take through its process.

Will I get nickel-and-dimed with add-ons later?

No. The whole point of Mandate is that one plan replaces the five-tool stack — voter data, the field app, texting, the dialer, mail, fundraising, and compliance — so you're not paying separate vendors and stacking surprise invoices two weeks out from Election Day. Your tier is your tier. If your race is genuinely bigger, you move up a band; you don't get surcharged a la carte for the basics of running a campaign.

Get a price built for your race.

Tell us the office and the district. We'll size your universe, name your band, and show you the plan that wins the seat.
