Terms of Service
Last updated June 17, 2026
These Terms govern your use of the Mandate marketing website at mandate.vote (the “Site”) and the Mandate campaign platform at app.mandate.vote (the “Platform”). By using the Site or the Platform you agree to these Terms. Where your organization has signed a separate written agreement for the Platform, that agreement controls and these Terms supplement it; if the two conflict, the signed agreement governs.
Informational only, not legal or compliance advice
Our guides, the Filing Kit, The Mandate Brief, and other content are provided for general informational purposes only. They are not legal, compliance, tax, or election-law advice, and they are not a substitute for guidance from your filing authority (such as your city secretary, school district, or county) or from a qualified attorney. Election rules, deadlines, fees, and thresholds change and vary by jurisdiction, always confirm the current requirements with the appropriate authority before you rely on them. You are responsible for your own compliance.
Accounts & access to the Platform
Platform access is by invitation and account only, and is limited to the role and campaign assigned to you. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your credentials confidential, and you are responsible for activity under your account. Sign-in, including Sign in with Google, is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms, your organization's agreement, or applicable law.
Your data & responsibilities
You and your organization are responsible for the data you enter, import, or process in the Platform, including voter, contact, volunteer, and donor information, and you represent that you have the legal right to collect and use it for your campaign. You must comply with all laws that apply to that data and your campaign activity, including election, campaign-finance, voter-data, privacy, and anti-spam laws (such as the TCPA for calls and texts). Mandate processes this data on your behalf as described in the Privacy Policy and your agreement; you remain responsible for it as its controller. You agree not to use the Platform to harass, deceive, or unlawfully target any person, and not to use exported voter data for commercial solicitation, which is prohibited.
Eligibility & acceptable use
You agree to use the Site and Platform lawfully and not to:
- Submit false information or impersonate another person.
- Interfere with, probe, or disrupt the Site, the Platform, or their security.
- Scrape, harvest, or misuse data, or send unlawful or unsolicited messages.
- Access data or accounts you are not authorized to access.
- Infringe our or others' intellectual-property or other rights.
Your submissions
Information you submit through the Site (for example, a demo request or newsletter signup) or enter into the Platform is handled as described in our Privacy Policy and any applicable agreement. You represent that you have the right to share what you submit and that it is accurate.
Intellectual property
The Site, the Platform software, the Mandate name and logo, and their content are owned by Mandate or its licensors and are protected by law. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive license to view the Site and, where authorized, to use the Platform for your campaign. You may not copy, republish, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works from our software or content without permission, except for ordinary personal use and sharing of links. Data you enter into the Platform remains yours.
Third-party links
The Mandate Brief and other pages may link to third-party news sources and websites. Those are provided for convenience and attribution; we don't control and aren't responsible for their content, accuracy, or practices. Linking does not imply endorsement.
Disclaimers
The Site and the Platform are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that they will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any content is complete or current.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mandate will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Site or the Platform or reliance on their content.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The exclusive venue for any dispute is the state or federal courts located in Texas.
Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll update the “Last updated” date above; your continued use of the Site or the Platform means you accept the changes.
